Cebu Blue Ocean Academy — Family Course
Parents and children study English while living together in hotel-style campus accommodation on Mactan; peak-season family courses add junior activities.
Dates and enrolment need confirmation
The 2026 peak-season package ran 28 June–22 August and has ended. The general family course remains listed, but a current 2027 peak calendar or bookable off-season intake was not verified.

Why it is in this guide
A relatively integrated parent-child study setup: tuition, daily life and lodging are concentrated on one site, and the younger learner gets substantial one-to-one time.
Who it may suit
For a parent who also wants lessons and can supervise outside class. Better suited to a study-focused two-to-four-week stay than a lightly scheduled resort holiday.
What to weigh up
The junior timetable is intensive. Peak-season all-inclusive pricing differs from ordinary course quotes. Do not mix fees, lesson counts or entry ages from older brochures with a new booking.
Operating history and evidence
A dated agency-published parent interview on 20 May 2026 describes a four-week stay in October–November 2024 with a beginner child: supportive teachers, enjoyable pool/food, but infrequent sheet changes. This is commercially selected testimony, not an independent inspection. Provider-branded 2024 and 2026 materials support continuity.
Age, language and eligibility
Designed for visiting parent-child language learners, supported by Japanese official information and documented overseas family attendance. A parent/guardian stays with the child; this is not unattended junior boarding. Entry/study-permit handling must be checked for the actual stay. 2026 peak-course materials group juniors 6–9 and 10–14; exact current minimum age must be confirmed. Individual English teaching can suit beginners; junior group placement matters. A Japanese official site is available, but do not infer full-time Japanese childcare or classroom translation.
What the days look like
Official junior course lists five one-to-one classes plus two group classes daily. The 2026 peak brochure adds booster activities and supervised homework; parents have three one-to-one lessons, with one transferable lesson under that edition's rules.
Parents, accommodation and transport
Families share campus hotel-style rooms at EGI on Mactan. Tokyo planning: compare Cebu arrival options and arrange the Mactan airport transfer; avoid assuming the school is in downtown Cebu. No parent hotel is needed if the quoted family room covers everyone.
Included costs and the family budget
2026 reference, provider-branded brochure mirrored by an agency: USD3,755/two weeks for one adult plus one child in a city-view twin. Includes tuition, lodging, three daily meals, listed study/visa charges, books and arrival pickup. Registration USD130/person, laundry, return transfer, flights, insurance and weekend outings are extra; electricity above PHP8,000 is extra. This is not a 2027 quote.
Before you book
Confirm age, exact intake, room occupancy, weekday/holiday lesson totals, peak/non-peak inclusions, study permits and supervision after lessons. Request a single itemised family quote. 2026 peak package: two, four, six or eight weeks; ordinary-family intake dates require confirmation.
Cancellation and refunds
A current course-specific cancellation/refund policy was not verified. Obtain the school and booking agency terms together, including illness, early departure and flight disruption.
