Why it is in this guide

Green Camp Bali — Green Adventure Family Camps: A genuinely different family learning experience, with parents joining rather than simply dropping children off; it adds nature and cultural depth to a long holiday.

Who it may suit

Families comfortable with hands-on outdoor activity, shared facilities and rustic overnight living. Best when the aim is family participation and environmental learning rather than intensive language lessons.

What to weigh up

Bamboo camp accommodation is not a hotel: open-air design, fans and mosquito nets rather than air-conditioning. Rain, insects and river/outdoor activities matter. A three-to-five-day camp does not fill a whole two-week stay.

Operating history and evidence

A first-person Honeycombers family review from May 2013 supports long-running operation but is too old for current conditions. Google-origin family reviews dated January/August 2025, reproduced by Wanderlog, describe sustainability activities and family participation; user reviews are self-selected and not a safety audit.

Age, language and eligibility

Official FAQ explicitly lists campers from Japan and many other countries. Green School enrolment is unnecessary; its community discount is separate. This family format requires participating adults, not drop-off childcare. Current Green Adventure product pages: children 5–12 with family. English-medium activities. Product pages require effective English communication; FAQ says basic understanding. Confirm suitability for a beginner; this is not an English tuition course. Japanese support not verified.

What the days look like

Arrive 10:00 on day one; finish 16:00 on the last day. Nature/culture workshops, family challenges and evening activities; five-day camp adds deeper exploration and a parent workshop. Activities depend on the edition and conditions.

Parents, accommodation and transport

Camp lodging, meals and snacks are included. Families arrange accommodation before/after camp. Transfers are extra. Tokyo planning: use Denpasar as the gateway, then allow a realistic road transfer to inland Sibang Kaja rather than treating it as a beach-resort camp.

Included costs and the family budget

Advertised starting price: IDR7,300,000 per person/three days or IDR10,500,000 per person/five days. This is not a family total. Educational activities, bamboo accommodation, meals and snacks are listed; flights, transfers and travel insurance need separate budgets. Confirm adult/child rates for the chosen date.

Before you book

Confirm English readiness, adult participation, accommodation/privacy, river and climbing activities, weather alternatives and insurance. Minimum four families: operator may cancel or reschedule within three weeks of start if not met. Three days/two nights or five days/four nights; a short component of a longer Bali holiday.

Cancellation and refunds

Current policy: 50% refund with at least 45 days' notice; no refund inside 45 days or for no-show. Provider cancellation for low enrolment/its force-majeure circumstances gives full refund. FAQ also discusses vouchers, so obtain written terms for the specific booking.
