Why it is in this guide
Its official prospectus specifically offers short experiences from one week, rather than requiring a term or long-term enrolment.
Who it may suit
Families seeking ordinary classroom life and coastal surroundings, with optional school-arranged homestay.
What to weigh up
July–August charges at least four weeks even for a shorter visit. The 2026 closed peak window affected much of Japan’s summer holiday; confirm any future peak intake early.
Operating history and evidence
A September 2026 parent post describes a three-week August stay with a 13-year-old, outside the core primary-age comparison. A January 2026 government review reported effective international-student care. Dated independent reports specifically from ages 5–12 remain sparse.

Older than the core 5–12 range; only the public introductory account was verified. Names a commercial placement agent; wider independence not established.
Read the sourceAge, language and eligibility
The 2026 school prospectus specifies ages 5–12 and Years 1–6, with older short-stay pupils considered. No/little English is explicitly supported; placement and any extra support are assessed. Under-10 s travel and live with a parent/legal guardian; ages 10+ may use school-approved homestay without a parent.
What the days look like
Mainstream classes with a buddy; ESOL groups generally once or twice weekly. School outdoor learning and activities vary by class and stay.
Parents, accommodation and transport
School-approved parent, designated-caregiver or homestay arrangements are required. No independent living, boarding establishment or temporary accommodation is permitted under the published policy; clarify any proposed hotel stay before committing. Parents retain care outside tuition hours. Family homestay may use a shared room. From Tokyo, plan a long-haul flight to Auckland and onward travel to the peninsula.
