Why it is in this guide
Raffles American School Malaysia Camps: A clearly described school-experience option with published two-week day and boarding prices, a placement assessment, and practical local accommodation pickup points.
Who it may suit
For learners who want substantial English study alongside school activities. Day attendance suits a parent based in Johor; boarding starts younger than some alternatives.
What to weigh up
This is a camp, not a guaranteed pathway into the school. Published age limits conflict, and the 2026 brochure retains some old 2025 payment text; obtain a clean current quote before committing.
Operating history and evidence
Tourism Malaysia's 2024 education brochure documents summer/winter camp operation. A Korean agency's 11 July 2026 on-site report observed a running summer camp; it is a commercial observer, not an independent parent review. Strong camp-specific independent reviews were not established.
Age, language and eligibility
External international learners are the camp audience: official material provides overseas-payment and Senai/Changi arrival arrangements, and describes camp participants later applying to the full-time school. Day students require parent/guardian care outside camp hours. 2026 brochure: 6–17; boarding 8+. Main webpage says 6–16, so reconfirm the upper limit. Beginner to advanced English, with a pre-camp online level assessment. Japanese support not verified.
What the days look like
Monday–Friday 09:00–17:00, combining English, art, sport and performing arts. Boarders have dinner/evening activities and weekend excursions; check-in Sunday before camp, checkout Friday after the closing ceremony.
Parents, accommodation and transport
Boarding includes meals and laundry. Day-camp families book their own lodging; listed pickup areas include Fraser Place, Somerset Medini, Elysia Suites and R&F. Tokyo planning: compare a connection to Senai with travel via Singapore; Changi adds a border crossing.
Included costs and the family budget
2026 reference: MYR8,400 for two-week day camp or MYR10,000 boarding. Day package includes lunch, snacks, activities and T-shirt; boarding adds accommodation, full meals, laundry and scheduled weekend trips. Flights, airport transfers, insurance and spending money are excluded; 2027 fees/tax treatment unverified.
Before you book
Confirm age, class placement, exact transport stop, boarding supervision/guardian requirements, departure timing and whether all taxes are included. Do not apply school-term admissions rules automatically to camp visitors. Two-week sessions; consecutive sessions possible.
Cancellation and refunds
A current programme-specific cancellation/refund schedule was not verified. Request it in writing before paying or buying non-refundable travel.
