Why it is in this guide

Summer@BISP — British International School, Phuket: A useful mixed-interest choice for siblings, with optional English study and enough structure to anchor a two-to-four-week Phuket stay.

Who it may suit

Good for families choosing between younger-child day attendance and older-child boarding. A four-week English stay offers an optional end-of-course Cambridge assessment.

What to weigh up

July dates may only partly match a Tokyo school's summer holiday. Age-specific schedules differ; outdoor and water activities need careful suitability checks. Older FAQ text should not override the newer age-group schedule.

Operating history and evidence

Official 2025 and 2026 activity reports show recurring delivery, and the school explicitly welcomes campers worldwide. Relocate magazine's 31 July 2025 feature corroborates the prior summer but largely points to school material; independent camp-review evidence is limited.

Age, language and eligibility

The official 2026 announcement welcomes children from Thailand and around the world; current school enrolment is not required. Day parents must arrange daily collection or the limited school-bus route. 3–5 early years; 6–8 lower primary; 9–15 main camp. Boarding wording says older than 9; clarify eligibility for a 9-year-old. English-medium. English track ages 6–15 uses Cambridge Young Learners material; Russian, Chinese and Thai support is listed, Japanese support is not. Confirm placement for total beginners.

What the days look like

Early years: 08:30–11:30; ages 6–8: 08:30–15:00; main day camp: roughly 08:30–18:00. Choose one morning track each week; afternoons mix campus activities and excursions. Boarders also have evenings/weekends.

Parents, accommodation and transport

Boarders live in school accommodation. Full-camp pricing page includes laundry and airport transfer; confirm flight windows. Day families arrange their own Phuket lodging; bus service needs at least three children on a route. Tokyo planning: allow for a flight connection and ground transfer.

Included costs and the family budget

2026 reference/week: THB9,000 early years, THB22,550 lower primary/main day, THB29,400 full camp. Four weeks: THB90,200 day or THB117,600 boarding. Day price includes snacks, lunch and scheduled activity/trip costs; early years excludes lunch. Flights, parent lodging and health/travel insurance are additional.

Before you book

Confirm boarding age, English class, water/activity suitability, any extra assessment fee, airport-transfer times and bus availability. Health/travel insurance is required; programme accident cover does not replace it. One to four weeks.

Cancellation and refunds

Published 2026 terms: cancellation by 24 May gives 80% refund; afterwards 60%. Pre-camp illness with certificate gives 80%; no refund once attending/after start. Some visa/medical cases are considered individually. Recheck the next edition's terms rather than reuse these dates.
